Since arriving in Dallas 2 weeks ago, I have been eating non-stop it seems. As I check off the restaurants visited on my list, more restaurants have been added to take their place. I wonder if I can complete the feat during the remaining 3 weeks.

Eatalot Dallas

Entry 1
I haven't been to Dallas in 4 year and the only truly entertaining thing to do here is to eat. So, Andrew and I have made a list of "joints" to visit. The original plan was to create a type of food blog, however, with 2 (sometimes cranky) kids in tow, we frequently forgot to take any pictures. So far, we have made it to: Taco Bell, Chick-fil-a, Corner Bakery, Chipotle, Macaroni Grill, Wendy's and Cici's Pizza. By last count, we have about 16 more places to go. Better start running!
Entry 2 (7/26)
Places we did not list but have visited/eaten: Tofu House (next to HMart); Tong's House (dumplings); Pizza by Marco; crawfish & crabs at home (yums!); potluck at home; bbq at Trea&Richard's; spaghetti at Yee Mah's
Entry 3 (7/27)
Today, I think we r going to Denny's for lunch!
Entry 4 (7/29)
Yesterday, we had Popeye's and Houstons. Today, Ann and Andrew took us to Rudy's, gas station grub with no plates. It's main food attractions were brisket (extra moist), ribs and cream corn (which Andrew raves abt). We had a good time as the kids could move about freely and they also enjoyed the food a lot. So far, we've been to 11 restaurants in about as many days...we seem to be making good progress, let's hope our stomachs hold up! Photos will be coming...albeit a bit delayed.

Popeye's fried chicken

Two-4-one fried chicken from Popeye's...again, no picture, but Jerron (Ann's celebrity name for A & J) each finished off a drumstick. Later in the day, had gelato at Northpark mall. Dinner will be at Houston's, I think. All this eating has placed a kind of stupor over me :p in a good way, I guess.

Photos of our eats

Finally, here are some pics, starting with some drumstick chewing on the plane (chicken courtesy of Great-Grandma Ip, aka PoPo):

Aaron chows down on the chicken leg...

Brisket, sausage 'n' ribs from Rudy's (gas station grub)!

Breakfast at Denny's, for lunch!

Crawfish at home, nicely bought by Mom & Aunt Cindy and deliciously cooked by Uncle Kam! Like it!

Dumplings and massive pig thigh(?) at Tong's House.

Our almost finished meal from Wendy's!

Cici's pizza...need I say more?

Nicole's pizza face!

Things other than...

I realise that my other blog is about Jerry and Aaron and feel that it is only fair that I blog about other things separately. Hence this new blog, Other than J & A. Forgive the "creativity" (or lack thereof) in the title. I'll begin by transporting the entries to do with food, because this subject deserves its own space.

Houston's

Houston's deserves it's own page, no? One thing to add: As we had finished off the last plate of our delicious meal, the server came up to our table, saw the empty plates and said to Andrew, in her soft and sweet southern voice, "Are you all full? You done stuffing yourself?"
Crack us up real and proper she did!

Crab cakes with chunks of delicious crab!

Thick cut pork chop that was really thick!

The cheeseburger was almost finished off!

Hawaiian Ribeye with a huge baked potato.

Them crabcakes agin....

Salmon dip!

Jerry's face tells it all!

Spinach dip....delish!
